Established in 1979, we have branches in Menlyn, Kolonnade and our own jewellery manufacturing workshop – we employ a team of 34 highly skilled and motivated staff. We have won the Old Mutual Super Star Award annually since 2002 seven times in a row for the highest trading density of all Old Mutual Malls nation wide. We were also recognised as Retailer or the Year in Gauteng for two consecutive years. We specialise in unique diamond jewellery and top brand watches which helped us in establishing our own upmarket Deonne le Roux brand.

Our Management Team

Heading up this family is founder Deonne le Roux. Spurred on by a passion for jewellery and keen eye for design, Deonne realized his dream by starting the company in 1979 at the tender age of 25. He has remained active in the jewellery industry and is a past president of the Jewellers Association of South Africa. Thus trust and integrity remain core values in his company. This coupled with his qualifications as a GIA graduate gemologist is truly a recipe for success.

Following closely in his father's footsteps is Deonne's eldest son, Quintin le Roux. Having spent many a school holiday working in his dad's store, Quintin soon adopted an avid interest in the business and joined as a sales consultant in 1995. His acute business acumen equipped him to take over the reigns of the company's financial concerns. Quintin completed his GIA Diamond diploma in 1998 and is currently the Chairman of the Chevron Jewellers Group. Deonne and Quintin now work hand in hand as directors of Deonne le Roux Jewellers.

In keeping with family tradition, nephew Walter le Roux has recently re-joined us as Area Manager. Having spent several years in the trade and working his way up the ranks at a prominent jewellery group, Walter has along the way obtained several qualifications within the industry. He brings with him many years of retail and managerial experience.

The Kolonnade branch is managed by Nishani Jhingoor who joined the company in 1998 as a sales consultant. The move to Menlyn in 2001 allowed this ambitious young lady to apply the extensive knowledge gained from working closely with Deonne and Quintin, in a managerial capacity. After several successful years in Menlyn, another move to the Kolonnade store also as a manager and she hasn't looked back since.

Shane joined a leading retail jeweller in 1996 as a sales representative, progressing to store manager at 2 flagship stores and achieved numerous awards along the way. As a result of all the successes, Shane crossed paths with Deonne le Roux Jewellers and soon associated herself with the exclusive and exquisite jewellery that the company is renowned for. She is currently the Menlyn branch manager.
